Puppet Master v.16

Puppet Master v.16

Puppet Master v.16

To make things easier and more to-the-point, I’ve replaced the old Upgrade system with a Build system.

The four puppet builds are based around imitation, hidden weapons, offense, and defense. Check them all out on page 3. This is still in development, so feel free to make suggestions.

+ New Starting Move Set a Perimeter

+ New Advanced and Expert moves

Attentive and Flying Marionettes

Changed Crowd Control MAX to 10 puppets at once.

EDIT: I just noticed the base damage die. It’s supposed to be a d6, not a d4.

I made a new base class. It’s a descendant of a shape-shifter who has the ability to gain power by eating. Let me know what you think and any advice you have for balancing, it hasn’t been play-tested yet. (I think I left a few typos in, but none that take away from the meaning I hope.)

The Abjurer is now available on DriveThruRpg.com http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/product/140184/The-Abjurer–A-Dungeon-World-Playbook

This is the first in my series of specialist wizard playbooks. A big thank you to the fine folks here who helped me get it right. Chris St Aubin did an amazing job on the cover art.

Here’s something I’ve been toying with: The Level 0

Here’s something I’ve been toying with: The Level 0

I like the idea of players getting to play first and then choosing their playbook based on what they feel suits their character. I allow a great deal of flexibility when it comes to what they can do at level 0, but with some more severe consequences for failure depending on what they do.

It was originally intended as a means to start the players as kids, but you can really start as whoever you want.

For the “who is your daddy and what does he do?” move I was generating two keywords (using the mythic system) for the players to do some word association and come up with their character’s backstory.

For the “what do you wanna be when you grow up” move I was having the players draw from a deck of animal cards to inspire their character’s personality and drive.

Really any means of inspiration works though.

I’m just looking for some input on the playbook =)

Hello kind people.

After going back to playing Star Wars: the Old Republic, I wanted to create DW classes for SW. I looked over some of the online resources but they weren’t for my liking 🙂

So I took the new Class Warfare and started working. Currently, only the Jedi Knight is completed, and I wanted to share to work.

Most of the material is based on SWTOR stuff, buy I tried to remove time period specifics, so it can be played in several SW time frames.

Planned classes include The Agent, The Bounty Hunter, The Jedi Consular, The Smuggler and The Trooper. Some form of dark side compendium class will also be featured.

I thinks that’s all for now.

Enjoy.

I’ve spent the last three hours editing it, and “soon” wasn’t soon enough! Here’s Puppet Master v.15 (Thanks to Andrea Parducci).

Any suggestions for the class or ideas for Bonds, Upgrades, Names, or whatever else would be appreciated.
