I did a redesign of the Dungeon World character sheets a little bit ago to allocate more space for bonds, notes, and multiclass moves. They’ve worked pretty well in my home game, so I figured I’d share them with everyone! In the folder are all the core classes, as well as the Immolator and Jacob Randolph’s Mage (since that one’s free). Additionally, there’s my Cavalier – my take on a knight that’s not driven by a holy quest (although inspired by the first draft of the Paladin). Hope you all enjoy!

About a year ago, I posted about a project my padre and I were working on called Caress of Steel, where the setting is built from the music of Rush. So instead of playing the Fighter or the Wizard, you play as the Body Electric or the Spirit of Radio.

I’m proud to announce that it’s finally ready to play! I’ll be running some games of it at Games on Demand at GenCon, and so I turn to you, fantastic members of the Tavern, to get feedback on it before the convention. The community below has spots for feedback – I’ll post specific things I’d like to discuss there as well. Thanks in advance!

Tagging Tim Franzke in particular, because he’s given some rockin’ feedback in the past.

I’d like to run a Play-By-Post game of my Eberron hack of Dungeon World on G+.

Let me know if you’re interested, and I’ll share the character sheet files. When we have enough players (I’m thinking 3 to 5, because more just gets kind of hard to juggle) I’ll invite everyone to a private community on here.

So, Tim Franzke posted something about playing Wonder Woman as a Sky Dancer, and it got me thinking: what classes would you use to play superheroes? I personally think the themes of Inverse World are the best to explore this concept.

JLA

Superman: It’s tough to fit Superman into just one class, but I’d probably say Sky Dancer for him, seeing as flying’s really important to him. Alternatively, make him a Golem (a good fit if you also want Wonder Woman in the group) to focus more on the Man of Steel aspect (pun totally intended).

Batman: I think the Collector is the best fit here. “But what about the Walker!” I hear you say. I have one response: utility belt. Add in Wealth and Taste for his alter ego, and Curiosity for the super-sleuthing and it’s a good fit.

Wonder Woman: I agree with Tim here, Sky Dancer works well to capture the flavor.

Green Lantern: Lantern, duh. Not much to say here.

The Flash: The Walker. Take the Great Nations Training and re-flavor so you’re running up walls and ceilings.

Aquaman: I think Survivor’s the best choice out of the bunch, especially if you choose the “limb replaced” option to get a hook. Alternatively, you could be a Captain, who hails from cities within the Cloud Seas. (Bonus: the Captain can also get a hook for a hand!)

Martian Manhunter: Putty Golem or a Rainlord, to focus on the mutability and alien nature. A divine messenger is probably as close as you’ll get to a Martian in Invells.

Now, to fully capture the flavor of each class, you’ll probably want to take advantage of the multiclass moves each class has. Let me know what you think!

Here are my first drafts of some of the racial classes for my Eberron conversion.

Here are my first drafts of some of the racial classes for my Eberron conversion. A few things: one of the big things about the new races in Eberron is how their viewpoint is different from the “normal” races like dwarves and elves. To simulate that, I’ve given each of these classes (except the Dragonmarked) different questions for Discern Realities. I’m especially curious of what you think of them.

Attributions: Obviously, I was inspired by Andri Erlingsson’s Elf, Dwarf, & Halfling. A lot of the Changeling’s advanced moves are from Jeremy Friesen’s Mountebank class. The Shifter draws inspiration from various *World interpretations of werewolves, including those from Monsterhearts and Urban Shadows. The Kalashtar nabs some moves from Inverse World’s Lantern, and the Mechanic and Survivor are strong inspirations for the Warforged. The Noble (I’m not exactly sure who made the Noble?) was the source of a couple of moves for the Dragonmarked.

Geez, that’s a lot, huh? Anyways, let me know what you think!

I need you guys’ help.

I need you guys’ help.

I need you guys’ help. I’m working on the kalashtar class for my Eberron conversion, and a core bit of the class is a move I’m calling “Burdened With Glorious Purpose”. It’s a mix of the Paladin’s quest and the Survivor’s eternal mark, in that you choose a purpose, some boons, and some vows, but at character creation. I’m looking for help with coming up with the boons and vows: what do you think that a kalashtar would have acquired in their quest to turn the Dream of the Age? Thanks in advance.

Another revised class I’m looking for feedback on: the Cavalier.

Another revised class I’m looking for feedback on: the Cavalier. This one requires the use of the Mounted Combat rules in Andri Erlingsson’s upcoming supplement. Let me know what you think?

Additional question: I’m an InDesign novice. How do you guys make the character sheets look like the ones Adam & Sage made? (tagging Jacob Randolph because he’s obviously got it down).

I’m looking for feedback on my revised Grave Knight (looking at you, Tim Franzke ).

I’m looking for feedback on my revised Grave Knight (looking at you, Tim Franzke ). I really tried to emphasize the knightly aspects of being sworn to Death’s service, such as getting gifts and orders, as well as fielding armies and going into larger-scale battles.

Let me know what you think!

Thought I’d share this with the community. I formatted the vehicles and mount rules into a Basic Moves-style sheet.

On a related note, does anyone know what the heading font is? I’d rather use it than the Eberron Font I’ve got right now.

Hey!

Hey!

Hey! Another playbook! This time it’s the Shifter, a racial class inspired by Andri Erlingsson ‘s Elf, Dwarf, and Halfling and made for my upcoming Eberron supplement (I swear it’s close to finished!).

The Shifter is the guy who uses (and deals with the consequences of) their inner beast. In addition to being able to play the Shifter, any shifter of another class can take moves from the Shifter without a multiclass move. However, you count as one level lower for taking the move, as usual.

Credit where it’s due: The Beast Monarch move is taken from Tim Franzke ‘s Druid of One Form, and the Wild Instincts and Sniff ‘Em Out were pretty much taken verbatim from Monsterhearts’ Werewolf. Talk Like the Animals is from the DW Guide, and the Bestial Urges were inspired by Monster of the Week’s Spooky. Wow, that looks like a lot when typed out.

Let me know what you think! The Warforged will be next out of the gates, I think, unless the Changeling or the Kalashtar are surprisingly easy to write.
