I haven’t liked any of the shapeshifter classes that I’ve seen so far, so I made my own, and based it off of the Kandra from Brian Sanderson’s Mistborn series (great books!)

I’ve also updated the Allomancer Playbook from the same series.

The Kandra relies on switching from playbook to playbook. It isn’t for everyone, and there are severe limitations. But it’s more of what I imagine a shapeshifter would be like.

I made a small minigame for a transdimensional race that is happening this weekend. Feel free to use it if your like!

I don’t know if this would be fun to play, or if it’s seriously broken, mechanically.

I don’t know if this would be fun to play, or if it’s seriously broken, mechanically. But I had the idea, and wanted to see if I could make it work. Suggestions welcome!

With some help from others in the community, I made a simple survival hack to Apocalypse World/ Dungeon World. I have only play-tested one game, and it was extremely short. I would love to see other groups try this out, even for a one-shot.

Feel free to add your own extensions, drop some wisdom, or use this for your next one-shot! It will be getting constant updates over the next few weeks.

Please give me any critiques, cut out the bad ideas, and add in the good ones.

My key idea: Having body parts instead of stats.

Hey Taverners.

Hey Taverners.

Hey Taverners. My first game took place in my hometown, and I converted all the familiar locations that my friends and I knew into post-apocalyptic dungeons and adventures.

I’ve been inspired by all of the expansions, playbooks,  I’ve seen lately, and I’m hoping to contribute myself someday.

I’ve been tossing the idea around of releasing a HomeTown Conversion Kit for dungeon World. Would anyone be interested in this? I haven’t organized all my notes, but here’s the pitch:

I’ve just finished the first Mistborn novel by Brian Sanderson.

I’ve just finished the first Mistborn novel by Brian Sanderson.

I’ve just finished the first Mistborn novel by Brian Sanderson. Amazing books! I loved the magic system, and the universe he created. So I bought the Mistborn Adventure Game, which is more like an extra book, with tons of extra stories, content, and details about Allomancy.

Here’s the class playbook I made from that inspiration.

It’s a little too heavy for my taste, but the magic in Mistborn is a very exact thing, and even this is too generalized. Let me know where I can trim the fat.

I’ll be running a test game for it tonight. And a Feruchemy class inspired by the same is in the works!
