Time elementals are creatures from a plane most sages are unaware even exists. A time elemental is a powerful creature formed of pure time and matter such as is unknown to even the most learned of sages. It is unknown how or why time elementals enter the Dungeon World, as they cannot be summoned using the standard summoning spells.Time elementals attack by forming a misty or smoky arm from their forms and lashing at opponents. A time elemental can see a few seconds into the future. This ability prevents it from being surprised. Time elementals are immune to all time-related spells and effects.

My regular (and longest-lived!) DW group is playing this Friday and they intend to sail south to a different continent, in search of some sad, faded dwarves.

I know the dangers of the sea and those who sail upon her, but I haven’t the foggiest what creatures might lurk within the dark recesses of the water…what are your favourite undersea threats?

After watching Stargate SG-1, I decided to create my favorite villain from the show. Replicators! I’m sure it’s probably been done before, but if not, here is my version.

Replicator Drone

Replicator Queen

Small, Organized, Intelligent, Horde, Amorphous, Mechanical Construct

HP: 6

Armor: 3

Damage: NONE

Instinct:

-Consume metal and energy

-Create more Replicators

-Alter form to perform tasks

——————————

Mechanical constructs composed of smaller intelligent pieces that communicate with one another to create forms in order to complete tasks that lead to replication.

The first of its kind was bestowed life by its creator for purposes unknown, but what is known is that it started creating more of itself by replication. Through replication, it has gained knowledge and power in aiding it’s kind for further replication. Every Drone is capable of becoming and taking the role of ‘queen’, a title given to the Replicator who’s sole purpose is to creator more replicators.

Be wary of these small and very resilient creatures, they will consume any metal and energy to complete their task of replication and destroy all those who get in their way.

Hi people

Hi people

Hi people,

I’m trying to make a “Monster Card Generator”, Im read the info of each monster from the codex: http://codex.dungeon-world.com/ – for test purposes i’ve used Mark Chance Salmagunderland monsters and images. and this is the result:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/4om9vvzldue3mga/Salmagunderland.pdf?dl=0

The images still have some (post processing) manual work, but the idea is (in the future) having an image associated with each monster (open /free licence of course), obtain a card of this genre to each monster.

Opinions ? 🙂

X Files Flukeman (Solitary, Devious, Terrifying)

Infecting Bite (b[2d8] damage 1 piercing) 12 HP

Close

Special Qualities: Regenerates unless killed by fire, magic or acid

The Flukeman – a form of quasi-vertebrate human – was an example of reproductive and physiological cross-traiting due to radiation, abnormal cell fusion and/or the suppression of natural genetic processes; essentially, the creature was a result of human science rather than nature. Its vestigial features seemed parasitic but it also had primate physiology.

The Flukeman transmitted its larvae, a form of flatworm, through its bite. The being searched for hosts, in order to multiply, and attacked because its victims’ bodies provided generative nourishment.

Typically, a survivor of a bite by the Flukeman would be infected with a flatworm which the victim would cough up, at a later point. The wound pattern from the Flukeman’s bite looks similar to scolex attachment but is much larger.

There is evidence to suggest a bite by the Flukeman might result in a survivor subsequently experiencing a peculiar, unfavorable taste in their mouth that would be difficult to remove, although not be accompanied by a difficulty with swallowing.

Like other fluke or flatworms, the Flukeman had no sex organs and was genderless but was, even though technically human, capable of spontaneous regeneration.

Instinct: Infecting Bite

Inhabit Sewers

Infects with spawn (Defy Danger when first bitten or be cured by magic healing; Otherwise Last Breath when next party makes camp)

Fun Fact: Scully once told Mulder that, except for the Flukeman case, she wouldn’t change a day of the past four years in which they had been working together.

Hi peoples

Hi peoples

Hi peoples,

I had a bit of spare time so I decided to create a few monster stat cards for my next DW campaign. Things got out of hand and now I have over 300 of these finished with another 150 monsters picked out and ready to be stated up.

All of the “official” monsters from the rulebook are there. I’ve also included hirelings into the mix because having their abilities on hand means they get used more.

They’re essentially bite-sized monster manual entries. I read them off a phone screen or print them and put them in UltraPro card sleeves.

I keep a variety of monsters on hand to cover any enemy types that might pop up during the next session. If I need the stats for a monster, they’re right there on the table.

My personal cards have nice inspiring artwork, but I can’t go and share that publicly, but you can always add your own art or link me to artwork that is 100% legal to use like this.

The cards are here; https://drive.google.com/open?id=0ByMvj_gz-QFCb2RFaUNlLURVZU0
