I’m trying to make a Djin booklet for an Arabian Night themed one-shot, and i need some help for this move:

At the beginning of the game, the Djinn chooses another character as its master.

YES, MASTER

When your master directly asks you to help him, don’t roll for aiding a pc.

Instead, say how you intend to use your powers; the GM will tell you a price.

Then, choose:

– you pay the price, and your Master gets +3 to the roll.

– your master pays the price and gets +3 to the roll.

– you both get -1 forward.

I’d like to show an inherent danger for both the djinn and the master in using these powers, but i’m not sure wether i’m going in the right direction.

Dungeon World Draw and Play

Dungeon World Draw and Play

Dungeon World Draw and Play

I wrote a couple lines (and made a couple cards) about how we could make a deck of cards to pick up and play DW.

The setup is quite simple:

Everyone draws 3 “class” cards, 3 cards representing something special about the PC and chooses one for each kind.

Then, everyone answers a couple questions in order to build the setting.

Ready to play, DW style!

I would greatly appreciate opinion, thoughts, crunchy goblins or someone to correct the horrible broken english i used.

DRUID SHAPE SHEETS

DRUID SHAPE SHEETS

DRUID SHAPE SHEETS

So, that is a handout for druids. Pick your land, and you’ll have a list of interesting animals living there, and a couple of animal shapes.

Some notes and questions:

1) as usual, english is not my native language. Feel free to correct me. The same for the design, i just slapped words on a page.

2) I did not put any suggestion for Tells, since you just choose one at the beginning of the game. Do you think it would be useful?

3) in the “Creature” lists, only real world animals are listed. At the bottom of each shapesheet, there is mythological creature – if you don’t like that, cut it out: it’s on the bottom for this reason.

There are also giant spiders, giant scorpions and mammoth listed as “natural” creatures. I mean, they’re so cool.

4) Sapphire Island are supposed to be some tropical island.

The great forest is supposed to be a temperate forest.

I put in the wasteland those animals who are resistant to pollution or feed carcasses. Feel free to disregard those indication!

In one of my coolest games the druid was shapeshifting into dinosaurs from “the Depth of Earth.”

HOW TO IMPROVE THE FIGHTER?

HOW TO IMPROVE THE FIGHTER?

HOW TO IMPROVE THE FIGHTER?

While i was making item cards, i was a little bit underwhelmed by the fighter favorite weapon – it is just a little bit better than the paladin long sword.

Then i checked the whole class, compared to the barbarian and the paladin ant it was… underwhelming: amongst the fighting classes it’s by far the less interesting of the three.

Am i missing something?

If you have the same opinion, how did you, or would you make the class more interesting?

So, here there are spell cards bs for the Wizard and the Cleric.

Do you think it could be useful to make “shape” cards for the druid, too (maybe with 3-4 filled slots depending on the land?), or it would be useless?

ITEM CARDS!

ITEM CARDS!

ITEM CARDS!

Since i’ll be playing DW with my bf and some of our friends, and they played DW, i thought to make a print of some item cards to help keep track of the items.

Here there are . they should be enough for the base classes, barbarian, immolator and dashing hero.

You should also be able to copy the document, so to add items specific to your own campaign.

Any suggestion is well appreciated!

1)So, the Spears in the Ranger playbook, in the Druid playbook and the one in the Equipment section all have different tags.

Is there an official errata for them? Maybe they’re just different kind of spears, or maybe some of them have wrong tags.

2)When a character uses their adventuring gear, can they draw something that weights more than 1?

In any case, when all the uses finish, do the equipment drawn weight collectively 1, depending on the equipment or what else?

What about the Bag of books?

But there are other Gifts that slipped away in history textbooks.

Myrr of the Eternal Age.

When you instruct someone about how to hold of myrrh in their mouth and they do so, they can’t feel pain or fatigue.

When you use your arts to embalm a corpse with all your Myrrh, they come back to life as the Myrrh replace their lost spirit.

A person resurrected with the Myrrh is immortal, but if burned with fire or washed with water, they must Defy Danger not to die, no Last Breath roll allowed – their soul is already gone.

The Beer that Saved Mankind from Lions

When someone ingests a sip of the Beer, they will sleep deeply, and will not wake up until the sun rises. This holds even for divine or undead beings.

When you drink all the Beer, mark 1-3 debilities and ask that many questions to the MC: they will be answered in detail. The questions can not inquire about the Blessed Infant, but you can ask about anything else.

THE NAME is something no mortal should know.

It’s trapped in writing, under the cold waters of the sea, miles away from every human community.

It’s guarded by monks that gouged out their eyes and punctured they eardrums so that they will never be able to read or listen to it.

So, what does THE NAME does?

Why do the players would like to know it?
