I will go ahead and make an all call for other new classes as well. show me where you are going in your Dungeon World.

I was looking through the Equipment chapter and noticed a weird thing: bandages seem much better than poultices and herbs. For 10 gold, I can get either 2 of the former (total hp healed: 24, weight 0) or one of the latter (total hp healed: 14, weight 1). Am I missing something?

“So I heard that sometimes Dis absorbs fragments of dungeons, see?  And that once these places have been found, raided and what have you, people just keep going back to the more interesting/dangerous ones.

It was just for bragging rights at first.  Like how fast your crew could get through Dirga’s Folly?  And then how fast your crew could get through Dirga’s Folly without actually losing anybody.

And for while that’s as far as it went, but now I’ve heard some of the parish councils and the guilds are getting in on it.  My brother told me he saw them taking scrying mirrors down into the Sugar Street Hiving, reckons its so that spectators can watch crews delve from the comfort of their local.

There’s coin in this if we get in quick.  I’m getting a crew together, gonna try and hit some of the delves that aren’t common knowledge yet, do some training.

Sugar Street Hiving’s no good now and Dirga’s Folly is getting known.  Anyone hear of other good ones?  I hear there’s some riddle door to a slime labyrinth in Goblin Market? “

Has anyone used the Mage class in play?

Has anyone used the Mage class in play?

Has anyone used the Mage class in play?  I picked up the bundle and that’s the one that most interests me.  I actually find the classic wizard kinda boring, with the spells already planned out and they merely select what’s in their spell quiver that day.

Much more interesting in my mind is the person who can say “I want to turn its wings into stone!”  or “I summon a massive gust of wind and blow them off the ledge!”  The Mage class seems to be closer to this kind of magic system.

Any insights, advice, or experiences with this class?

So for months I have not had luck finding a group to game with. Now I have an intern at work who wants to jump from video games to tabletop.

I lent him my copy of DW, and had him read about the “16 HP dragon” encounter. Now I have one lapsed dnd player and 4 folks who have never tabletopped before foaming at the mouth, wanting to make a video record of our AP and turn the story into a digital animation

I guess I am running DW next weekend.

I finally had a free minute and I did a version of Number Appearing with only text by taking out the art (except the banner and maps). You can get it here:

Since this has been CC-BY the whole time anyone else could have done this at any time so I don’t feel bad for letting it out into the wild. Plus I reckon the missing Ed Heil russ nicholson Michael Wight etc art is damn good, so there is still a backer advantage.

Once Adam Koebel or Sage LaTorra let me know they think enough time has passed since the Kickstarter we’ll post the whole thing with the art somewhere convenient.

I was wondering if the creators (or anyone else) could comment on the process that went in to choosing 2d6 instead of d20 as the main mechanism. I’ve got a lot of affection for the d20 (as I’m sure many here do), so it pains me to leave it so neglected. I understand that the probabilities work out very differently for the two rolling methods (in particular, modifiers being nonlinear and offering diminishing returns) — is this the main reason to go with 2d6, or are there others? Has anybody explored using d20 with any success?
