This is my first attempt at hacking DW—a compendium class for a child character. Feeling out some ideas for a campaign I’m thinking of starting. I’d love to hear feedback and critique, especially on the “Copycat” move. I think “Whiny Brat” probably needs another option and maybe there should be one more move overall.
Some of the moves are based on the Apocalypse World playbooks “The Feral Kid” by Mike Sands, “The Kid” by Unknown.
How do you guys handle dissemination of compendium class information.
How do you guys handle dissemination of compendium class information. Do you provide pages (or URLs) before a trigger or scenario occurs, or after? Do you tell them about the compendium class before handing them info?

Hey all, I’m running a campaign where the dead tend not to stay in the ground, and there’s an order of Sin Eaters to make sure that they do. Recently a PC was initiated, so I’m piecing together my first Compendium class. I’d love some input on creating advance moves (or straight stealing advanced moves from other classes that seem appropriate). Cheers!
Compendium class Sin Eater,
When you are initiated by a member of the order, and make a deal with death to devote yourself to helping restless spirits pass beyond the world, you can take this move when you level: Basic moves 1. Minister to the Sick- Immune to disease 2. Last Rites- When you spend time administering to a corpse that corpse can not be raised 3. Member of the Order- other sin eaters will treat you as an ally until proven otherwise, and when you enter a settlement roll 2d6+cha, 10+ you will be provided a place to stay, meals and basic supplies. 7-9 you will be provided a dry place to sleep and a warm meal. 6- you will be called upon to take up arms for the order.
Advanced moves could go anywhere, from adding forceful and messy tags to attacks against undead, to dream sending (already established as a power of some other Sin Eaters). The compendium class will also require submission to all requests for aid by other Sin Eaters, or direct requests by anyone to give last rites.

I have revised my Fungal Fanatic to the Fungal Hybrid; a name I think that better reflects the nature of the compendium class (part fungus guy not a fungal cultist or expert).

In one of my campaigns, I have a player who is playing the Artificer class. One of her gadgets that she has used since the beginning was a Electrical Amplification Glove. She has recently met and become the follower of an Aspect of Power and Artifacts in the local pantheon. This Aspect has upgraded her gadget to artifact status. Since she is leveling up soon, I was wanting to find some good moves that would fit into an “Artifact Bearer” compendium class. Moves that focus either on lighting / weather or gauntlet / armor style moves.

My group and I are playing a game using the starter ‘The Valley of the Titans’ by Sabe Jones.
In the valley is a creeping menace of shadows that approach people on watch and convince people to come out of the firelight.
We’ve established that the shadows hate fire and are causing the animals to go.mad and attack anything and everything.
One of my players has made it his mission to destroy the shadows and I want to make a compendium class for him to highlight this. Any ideas on moves that don’t just add bonuses when fighting the shadows? I want a little more flavour than that…
