So I was thinking recently, what kind of characters are just not represented very much in our beloved RPGs? And one thing stuck out like a sore thumb – The Mission Control Team. The ace hacker, the voice in the ear and the eye in the sky. It was obvious why, not being with the party is a huge pain for both the player and the GM, not to mention issues with HP and combat.

But it seemed like such a cool idea, I had to take a crack at it, and so I present, The Handler!

Present with the party only via an incorporeal projection, the Handler is permanently affixed to another PC, sharing their HP and working with them in a sort of symbiotic relationship, while providing remote support to the team, doing research, “hacking” enemies and magical systems and so on. I intentionally made it so you could play this as either a mage or a more technologically inclined character too.

Probably the weirdest playbook I’ll ever write, I’m really proud of this. Hope you all enjoy it!

Has anyone created race moves for cat people or any other beast races?

Has anyone created race moves for cat people or any other beast races? Any other race moves people have created for races not included in the base playbooks that they’d be willing to share?

Dunno how much it can be useful to any of you but, meh, it’s free!

The Virtuous, a hack of the paladin that is focussed on virtues instead of religion. Not yet tested (first test session is tonight). Backgrounds are inspired by Chinese culture (to fit my player’s concept for her character).

I need to give credits to the peeps from #WorldofAdventure because I’ve stolen quite a few moves from their Paladin playbook, and then some here and there (The Samurai and The Fated Hero), although I think I didn’t keep any from these 2 “as is”.

Hello Tavern! This is a class based on Shikamaru from Naruto.

I wrote this for a friend of mine, and I would like to share it with the community. You are allowed to change everything, and share it with your friends, I do not care. If someone finds any mistake, please let me know, as english is not my primary language. Any feedback is appreciated, and if someone changes the layout to make it look good, I would be happy to have a copy (I tried some templates, but could not make any of those work XD).

I am thinking of writing other classes always from Naruto, if this one works, so let me know what you think! 😀

Originally initiated by Tam H, there are now three dungeoneers (Colin Kierans and myself) hacking away to make this website the one-stop shop for Dungeon World playbooks on the interwebs!

Of course, it’s not a literal shop, we just link to the playbook on DTRPG or if it’s free, Google Drive/Dropbox/etc. You can sort by author, description, category, date added, etc – and even search our database, with real-time results! You can even comment to leave a short review of your thoughts and experiences with the playbook

(they aren’t there for discussion).

We’re currently adding as many as we can find, and are adding more all the time. Feel free provide suggestions (including any “must have” playbooks). If you don’t see a playbook here, that’s ’cause the website only two days old – we are steadily working through reddit, G+ and the wiki to find all of them.

Thanks for checking it out, and we hope it helps you find your next favorite playbook!

What playbook is closest to the d&d 5e sorcerer? Here’s their description :

Magic is a part of every sorcerer, suffusing body, mind, and spirit with a latent power that waits to be tapped. Some sorcerers wield magic that springs from an ancient bloodline infused with magic. Others carry a raw, uncontrolled magic within them, a chaotic storm that manifests in unexpected ways.

I’ve checked some elementalist playbooks but they’re meh.
