Word Playbook Template v2

This document is mostly comprised of floating text boxes, some of them with embedded tables (to accommodate the check boxes). You will need to download two free fonts to use this – AveriaLibre and Metamorphous  The text box for the Playbook (“Class”) name can be resized as needed. The black bar below the Playbook name can be stretched up or down to resize as needed. Choose and position the correct Damage die icon and the delete the others. The Alignment/Drive header can be edited as needed. Delete the Background or Race header as needed. On the second page you can resize the move text boxes and drag the level 6-10 separation line up or down as needed.

I have not ported over the spell sheet yet.

What modificator does an immolator most depen upon?

For one-shots, I tend to prefill the stats of the character-sheets. That saves a lot of prep time for the new players, and gives a nice balance where the fighter can´t outsmart the bard. In the v 2.2 sheets, the immolator became an official class, so I want to fill it out as well. How ever, I can´t find a single most important (+2) stat. I mean it´s DEX for thief, STR for fighter etc.

But the Immolator has custom moves using CON and WIS, and can use INT as STR or DEX. So basicly 3 important stats. Where would the the +2 be most appropriate as a result of fiction (not power palying)?

Alrighty, so this is finally a thing. I appreciate all your support through the process. I hope you enjoy it.

Does Dungeon World have an official errata?

Does Dungeon World have an official errata?

Does Dungeon World have an official errata?

I’m wondering because there seems to be some inconsistency in the handling of ‘multi-class’ moves.  Namely, the Paladin’s “Divine Favor” causes him to start casting spells as a level 1 cleric, even if he’s a level 8 paladin when he chooses it, while the Bard’s and the Fighter’s(!) ‘multiclass’ moves say to treat yourself as one level lower for purposes of the move.

I can understand not wanting the Paladin to say “Hey! I’ve found religion!” and suddenly be an 8th level cleric or something, but if that’s the reasoning, why can the Fighter do it? I can even accept that the Bard is supposed to be good at multiclassing and therefore does better at this, but c’mon. The fighter?

Anyone know the reasoning here?

And here’s the other.

And here’s the other.

And here’s the other. This one I’m less confident on; I think there’s too many moves that need the dragon to be present to be useful, and that realistically isn’t always going to happen. This one might be better as a CC, actually.

Now that I’ve got the time to work on these, I’m pulling a couple of playbook I was working on before out of storage. Here’s the first one, open to criticism and feedback as always.

Call me a mark for Indiana Jones, but I really like this archetype of academic researcher by day, danger defying treasure hunter by night.

I’m still reading through #DungeonWorld as I get time here and there over lunch and in the evenings. I like to read a little and then think about it a lot. As I don’t get to play #RPGs very often at all, this is my primary mode of experiencing them at the moment. Which is fine.

Anyway, I was reading the Cleric class today at lunch a decided that the next time I get to play in a Dungeon World game, I am going to play a Cleric that insists on carrying spoiled rations and uses the Sanctify rote spell as an outward manifestation that his deity’s drive to save and make holy the corrupted.

There is so much fun role playing keys inside the Cleric spell list. It’s been fun just to think about what one could do with each of them.

Hi everyone!

Hi everyone!

Hi everyone! I have a question about GMing for you. This is the case: A party composed of some core classes and a dragon player character are underground dungeon crawling and reach the Giant Assasine Vine chamber. The vine attack and the dragon uses dragon breath on the giant plant. The narrator (me) rules that the fire sticks and burns the vine filling the whole Dungeon in heavy choking smoke. The characters escaped the fire running unprepared into a number of nasty pitfalls and traps. The characters were jammed for hours because of the fire consequences and blamed on the dragon player for starting it. Question: was my move too hard?

My friend “H” who’s is a game master of Dragon Age thinks I should have just let the fire damage the monster and that running all the fire consequences ruins the fun for the dragon and for the players and makes the dragon looks useless and unfunny to play.
