Teuthida: My Dungeon World Setting

Hey there, this is something I made up when reading a lot of China Mieville and Jeff Vandermeer and playing a lot of Dungeon World and of course wanted to combine all of them.

Here is the setting, a weird city with many districts and weird things on the surface. Its also got a few First session adventures and questions to ask about each district. Any improvements, and comments are welcome.

My 11 year old son wants to DM for the first time for his friends at school, but since he has zero experience I recommended that he start with a simple, pre-written adventure. I always sort of wing it, so I don’t have any experience with DW adventures, so I’m turning to you guys for help.

Any recommendations for something short and simple that doesn’t need a lot of interpretation on the DM’s part? This might be a good time for something railroady, as we’re talking about a first time DM (though he has played before) running for first time players.

Thanks for any help.

I’ve been building a campaign world for rather a while. Basic settings, gods, backstory, big world changing thing that’s just recently occurred and will explain all manner of strange occurrences.

Here’s my trouble. DW has a really low level cap, and if things go well, these guys might be playing this campaign for a WHILE. How do(would) you folks deal with this? Retire PC’s in exchange for new meat? Inflate the levels so it takes longer to level up? Stop giving xp for things like fulfilled bonds? What?

Hey, gang–

Hey, gang–

Hey, gang–

I’m going to be starting a new series of adventures for my new group set on a new world. Nothing wrong with the good old Domain of Kane, I just want everything to be mysterious. I have a number of campaign ideas I’d like feedback on I’m going to write up and let my group choose from and develop with their input.  I’ll post these when I’m done as I’d like the Tavern’s ideas.

Just to let everybody know I’ve posted all my old material on a website http://catsoftindalos.blogspot.com/

As they say in the Marvel films, I know at some point Kane will return.
