You know the Scenario Packs in the Beyond The Wall RPG? I’d love to use something like it in my DW games. Has anyone published something like this standalone so I don’t need to buy a whole game that I won’t run?

I’ve been running DW with two or three players recently. To begin with this was not by choice but now I’ve come to really enjoy it. My feeling now is that DW is better with just two or three. Four is okay but not as good. This has been a revelation to me, especially because I tend to get quite a bit of stage fright before running a game (“I haven’t done enough prep”, “this is going to be boring for the players”). I feel empowered and liberated as as GM!

Just wanted to say that. 🙂

Has anyone used the Pyrewyrm Doom Track in The Last Days of Anglekite? I am confused as to how it should be used. Are “the appropriate preparations” meant to involve completing the first set of bulleted points (which embody “the ritual” I believe)? But that seems wrong because it also says “they can only start the ritual (and use the following moves)…”.

Also, at the end of the Doom Track description it says “Once the Doom Track has filled, the cult may skip directly to completing the ritual”. Does that mean that the first set of bulleted points don’t need to be complete if the Doom Track has been filled (presumably by events in the second set of bulleted points having come it pass)?

I’m inclined to just mash the two bulleted lists together but would I be missing something if I did?

GMs, a player triggers Discern Realities and rolls a 7+ when examining a location (say) which in your mind was unimportant or incidental. How do you tend to answer their questions? Turn the location into an interesting or significant one through your answers, or give answers like “nothing much is about to happen”?

The latter puts less pressure on you but risks devaluing the risk the player took of making the move in the first place (they may have missed the roll and allowed you to make a hard move). So I often feel pressure to do the former.
