Because Captain America Winter soldier has come out, i’d like to reshare this little thing here:

The shield of the lost soldier (+2 armor, worn, 0 weight)

This shield will only accept the most patriotic and noble wielder. Once you have removed all the ice from it you find it to be incredibly light but able to deflect the strongest of blows and magic. Even more interesting are it’s flight capabilities.

When you throw the shield of the lost soldier at an enemy, say how you do it. If you do it

* by bluntly hurling it, roll+STR

* by being graceful and accurate roll+DEX

* by carefully calculating it’s flight roll+INT

On a hit you deal Stun damage to an enemy and on a 10+ you choose 3, on a 7-9 you choose 1

* You hit an additional enemy (you can choose this option multiple times)

* You deal an additional 1d6 normal damage

* It returns to your hand

When you spend time to train with the shield of the lost soldier you can take these moves:

Throwing savant

When you throw the shield of the lost soldier, on a hit, you can always choose an extra

You hit an additional enemy

Mirror Mirror on the Shield

When you defend an ally, using the shield of the lost soldier, add this option to the list

* Reflect an incoming spell or blast back at its origin

The Balefire of Rage.

A psionic class, based on using your anger to enhance yourself. In my game/stuff i wrote psi is deeply connected to emmotions for most. Only moments of strong emotional impact can trigger your latent psionic abilities.

Psi is a ressource you can spend to do stuff but it also can enhance you while you hold it. That is true for all my psionic stuff. Since psi users are deeply emotional they sometimes get additional bonds and can share their gits with people they share an emotional connection with.

I think these things make for enough of a mechanical identity.

Major influences on these are Sith Warriors and the Ardent Class from 4e.

Feedback is of course always welcome.

I thought.i would use the day to write at least 1 new move for every (base) class.

I thought.i would use the day to write at least 1 new move for every (base) class. Anyone want to join me in this endeavour?

Edit: My goal with these is it that these moves should provide a new way to go down on with the class but still makes sense within it. Like a more tactical and leadery Fighter.

+Tim Franzke will GM a session of “hardcore mode” Dungeon World. If you find character death grimly fascinating then join in! The more corpses the better!

On a serious note, it isn’t supposed to be a slaughterfest or a Tomb of Horror session. Rather, hard moves will be hard, and taking unnecessary risks is generally ill advised.

So, if you like playing smart and being cautious, this’ll be the game for you!

“The boulder hits your back and you hear things breaking in your backpack. Lose your adventuring gear and one healing potion”, Tom said hardly.

A player asked me if he could have a Ring of Dexterity for the game.

And i went: suuureeeee….?

So here is what i have:

These magic wooden rings are made by elven greensingers to be awarded to the champions of the elfqueens hunt during the night of the two moons. Their intricate carvings tell the story of the hunters exploits and the game she or he brought back. Their magic can be called upon to allow the wearer one act of perfect grace and dexterity. By rotating the ring around the finger one of its charges are spend and the ringbearer is filled with its magic. It is rare that such a ring caries more then 3 charges of magic.

It is also said that should ever a dwarf lay hands on such an item, no one would ever be able to defeat him.

How does that look to you?
