Made this last night, supposed to be booklet printed on a single A4 sheet for AU conventions and other opportunities to get new folks playing. I took liberties. Tell me if you hate anything I did, there is a possibility I will get around to revising it when I recover from my Canva Rage.

Here’s my draft of the intro to Drazhu I’m running in a two-hour slot at Ettin Con next month:

When Lord Drazhu came to power, he spouted promises to strengthen the kingdom by fortifying its borders and uniting against their enemies. Then the attacks and the kidnappings started, targeting so-called “demi-humans” and their allies. First, he came for the halfling forest guardians, then the elven peacekeepers, even the dwarven sustainable mining unions were under threat. Once he gained possession of the legendary Crown of Tyrants, he became dangerously unhinged. Distrusting the royal guard, he brought in a private security force of orc mercenaries and goblin spies. He even sent trollish armies with battle-axes to hack into the web of the peaceful Spider Kingdom. Now you are all his slaves, forced to expand his underground lair, increase his resources and further his dark agenda: To raise a demon army who would wipe all opposition off the map and bring a new Dark Age to reign.

Here’s a five-minute draft of an idea I had to exorcise last night. Comments/Suggestions/Criticism welcome.

It’s a GMless solution to my d20 non-problem, intended to be simpler than Mythic.

For those of us jonesing to roll a d20 again, but still in deep love with DW’s 2d6 mechanics, what do you do?

For those of us jonesing to roll a d20 again, but still in deep love with DW’s 2d6 mechanics, what do you do? Specifically, in what circumstances have you been able to use a d20 in your DW sessions?

The most obvious is to make a horribly powerful monster use it as their damage roll, the second obvious would be randowm item/effect tables.

What else can bring our beloved icosahedron, DW’s equivalent of the d12 , to greater prominence?

Here’s a race playbook I’ve had bubbling away for a while just in case one of my players wanted to use it….

The Medusa

Good: Steer events towards a glorious and fair future.

Neutral: Dispassionately move through Time, serving your own whims.

Chaotic: Toy with the mortal world for your amusement.

Evil: Drag the mortal world toward the ruination it deserves.

Starting Moves:

Ancient. As one of the ancient ones, you take +1 ongoing to Spout Lore about historic events you were present for. On a 7-9, explain a negative result of your involvement.

Serpentine Hair: your hair is a mixture of venomous rattlesnakes and verdant adders. The rattlesnakes will bite any target close enough if you wish. You can sever an adder to take 1d6 damage in order to heal an ally 1d8 with the resulting juices.

Stone Cold Stare: When you gaze directly into someone’s eyes, you risk turning them to stone. Shun your reflection, and avoid meeting the eyes of those you love.

Eyes On Me: When you will your hair to hiss and rattle along with your words, roll+CHA. On a 7+, the target will be compelled to look at you. On a 7-9, it was a fleeting glance, the petrification will only last an hour. On a 10+, they are a permanent stone statue.

Choose the one class you appreciate the most. Whenever you gain a level, you may take one starting or advanced move from that class. Describe where you learned these skills.

I would be interested to hear the tavern’s reaction to this new DW actual play show.
