The King’s Bane Throne

The King’s Bane Throne

This lavish, ornate throne was originally a peace offering to a long forgotten tyrant but it’s beauty belies it’s true purpose. Anyone who sits on the throne when nobody else is present, is drawn into the throne and kept alive magically. They age as they would naturally, insanity setting in long before death.

Sever Questions

Sever, level 7 cleric spell, ongoing:

“Choose an appendage on the target such as an arm, tentacle, or wing. The appendage is magically severed from their body, causing no damage but considerable pain. Missing an appendage may, for example, keep a winged creature from flying, or a bull from goring you on its horns. While this spell is ongoing you take -1 to cast a spell.”

Why is it ongoing? If you stop the spell does the limb re-attach? regrow? Does the limb remain active while severed? Can you sever your own hand and send it out Adam’s Family style?

How do you interpret this spell?

Mists of Amore’

A single puff from this perfume bottle and the user will find themselves seeing thin, red, ethereal ribbons coming from people’s chests. These ribbons connect to anyone with whom they had intimate relations with. This effect will last till the next sunrise.

The Mists provide no information if the “relations” where consensual, nor will you know how recent these were. Distance is not a factor either and it’s not unusual to see ribbons leading off beyond oceans or horizons.

The bottle will usually be found with only a few drops of perfume, and can only be replenished with the tears of the heartbroken, fortunately (or not) the Mists are excellent at providing those.

If a Wizard takes Prodigy for a first level spell can he memorize it nine thousand times?

In my games I ruled that a Wizard (or Cleric) can memorize 3 level zero spells, usually the three that are listed, but if the use Prodigy on a first level spell they must pick one (or more) to memorize that day.

Why are the core stats never defined?

Was looking for the rule book’s exact definition of Charisma last night and realized that no where in the book are the 6 core stats clearly defined.

Was really just wondering why that was? Most every game I’ve ever played or ran has a little blurb defining what Wisdom, Strength, Constitution specifically encompasses in that particular game.

What was the reasoning behind not including something like this in DW core rulebook?

Maker’s Map

Not uncommon amongst Archeologists and Historians, when the map is placed flat and any type of hand crafted item is placed upon it, the map will then show the location the raw material(s) used to make the item were gathered from, if the map encompasses those locations.

The Map will make it clear where each material came from if it can, i.e. obsidian for an axe might be mined far from where the wood for the handle was cut.
