Today, after my table, I was thinking about a random table to create book names in the same model as freebooters on the frontier did to create magic. What did you, guys, think about it?

I’ve had a food zine brewing (pun intended) on the backburner (also intended) for a good long while. The most recent Food focused episode of “Play to Find Out” (a great DW podcast) finally kicked my butt into action to finally turn it into a zine!

So I’d love to crowdsource some ideas! Please take a moment to fill out this survey (all questions are optional! Answer only what you feel like.)

I’ve finished reading World Wide Wrestling a few days ago. It’s a good and interesting AWE game, but one thing that I really think I’ll “steal” is changing the approach to Bonds.

You see, instead just filling blanks, the Bonds there are formed by asking the other players. So, consider the Fighter Bonds:

____ owes me their life, whether they admit it or not.

I have sworn to protect _____.

I worry about the ability of ____ to survive the dungeon.

____ is soft, but I will make them hard like me.

Let’s turn this into questions:

Who owes me their life? There’s no need to admit it.

Who am I sworn to protect?

Who caused me to worry about their ability to survive a dungeon?

Who is soft to the point I decided to make them hard like me?

Changing the way the Bonds are created helps, IMHO, to make them care about it more. It’s not the Fighter player that decided that, but another player “accepted” that Bond as part of their story together. It was a voluntary choice.

What do you think?

Quick question I saw elsewhere: “When a move offers choices (choose 2, for example), may the player choose the same option more than once?”

I’d say no, but I don’t remember any official rulings about it.

When you get to level 11 and choose to change of class, does your level reset back to 1 and you then proceed to gain new moves or does your character just kinda stops changing move wise

I’ve often had problems using the Parley move in Dungeon World (and the Seduce & Manipulate move in Apocalypse World) but until now I never tried to express them in a communicable form.

In the linked post I try to explain my gripes, and to offer a possible alternative solution. One that is now part of my personal DW reimagining, jokingly called #AdvancedDungeonWorldNext2 (or just #ADWN2 for short) (just a funny placeholder name for the project).

Am I the only one experiencing those problems?

What are YOUR problems with that move?

How do you like my alternative move?
