This is my losing entry into the Gauntlet Writing contest.
This is my losing entry into the Gauntlet Writing contest. The format is different than my usual due to the contest requirements; but I did add a few format flourishes, title and put it in PDF. Happy Halloween!

The judges’ votes are in, and there is a winner and one runner-up for the Keepers of the Gauntlet Writing Contest!
The runner-up: Ash & Bone by Horst Wurst
The winning entry:
The Lies of the Child Kingdom by Michael G. Barford
His winning entry will be published in Codex and get the Fear of a Black Dragon treatment.
All of the entries can be downloaded at the Gauntlet community site. Mine was called the Fire of Nal-K’aal if anyone is interested, although I think my work was really overshadowed this time around by all this great new talent.

Joeb Bittman did a wonderful one page a few years back that I converted for my niece’s “Stranger Things” adventure arc awhile back: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7cav44145d9eno0NVF0cVB2U1U
Here are my conversion notes: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7cav44145d9YjloN1pieDJxWFU/view?usp=sharing
I’ve based two dungeon starters on her current epic and this provided a nice conclusion: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7cav44145d9NDhaODNvX2VCZ1E/view?usp=sharing and https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7cav44145d9WTNNQmV3Ym9lWnc/view?usp=sharing
I used this for the lizardman army in Joeb’s one page: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7cav44145d9em0zb05xTzMyUW8/view?usp=sharing
For those interested the Idol was restored by feeding it the “summoning” gem from the altar starter while the “gate” gem sent the idol to the Vale of Shadows to trap Demogorgon within it there forever…or until the next adventure!
I know at least one of ya’ll played this at GenCon, but Sandy Pug just released the Infernal Bone Machine!

It’s an adventure set inside a Lich’s computer dimension, where all the computation is done by automated skeletal minions, and the heroes are effectively fantasy tech support, sent in to repair the thing after a virus shuts it down. Anti-Virus Kobolds, Memory Ghosts and a giant Whale-Skeleton-Golem ensue.
It uses a couple of cool things, Blanks for every section that give you questions and statements to have players fill in, near the end it utilizes the Starter Set concept, with a list of Impressions, Stuff and Enemies. I considered adding Flags too but couldn’t see a way to do it with this adventure, maybe next time!

It’s a supernatural, 1920s noir setting/adventure starter I wrote, with a Tarantino or 90’s anime flair. It has been my go-to setting for pick up games for a long time now.
This booklet includes a bunch of NPCs, gangsters, and troubles, as well as several locations, macguffins, and a compendium class in case any of your PCs want a demonic gun.
Please check it out if that sounds like your kind of thing. The deal is only on for another half day.

Has anyone played The Fellowship? I am watching LOTR right now and its hard not to assess this movie in terms of playbooks.
The adventure continues at “The Ruined Tower of Drazhu”!
The adventure continues at “The Ruined Tower of Drazhu”!
This is a followup adventure to “The Curse of Drazhu” adventure starter I posted a few weeks ago. Created around my group’s choices on that starter, behold, a new adventure at “The Ruined Tower of Drazhu”. The party is hot in pursuit of a magical curse corrupting the land and they think it’s source may be in Drazhu’s long forgotten citadel. Will they risk dark magic and the servants of the spider god Ungu to solve the mystery waiting at the top of the tower? Will it help convince them if I mention that there is sure to be a buttload of treasure inside?! Check out the adventure to find out!

This draft is influenced heavily by the source material from Jason Morningstar as well as Jeremy Strandberg’s “Brightrock Barrow” from Lampblack and Brimstone’s “Perilous Deeps”.
Feedback and any suggestions to streamline, condense, and generally make it more original and awesome would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
