Made up another class the other night that I thought would be interesting, the inspiration is the Darkness from comics and video games. What I really like is how variable class is, you can go with various stats and really change the class around. Playing a warrior from the shadow with Strength or alternatively playing an intelligence based shadowmage.
Please let me know what you think.

So good. I love class warfare
It is so awesome. Provides so much fodder for the imagination. When i saw shadowmancer, i knew it was going to be something i had to use.
Already looked at this one and it is pretty cool. Don’t have any critique at this point of stuff I think needs changed. I will soak up the discussion about it though.
About “Walking Through Darkness”:
– you could put “Far range” instead the 100 meters, keeping the DW “vague” measurements.
– Also, you don’t specify if the Shadowsoul has to actually see the target patch of darkness, or if he doesn’t. So: easy teleport in room that you can’t see, or not?
About gear: 3 healing potions have big price. You should keep the other options useful and with similar value, I think.
Shadow Thief, should be “its caster”.
Human: At the end of a session, mark an extra experience if you infiltrated a secure location.
I’d put “… in a charged situation”, while it should be obvious.
Foreshadowing: you should put “your choice” somewhere. As I understand it (reading the following Parting Shadows) it is the player choosing from the list. Also, could be interesting to put a “take +1 forward” on 10+ results?
MODIFIED POST: I see now that there’s another move to get the +1. Maybe you could reunite both in a single move.
“Reaching Through Darkness” can you also “pull” things/people in?
“Shadows reach” I’d put “if they are actually not under direct sunlight. It could create nice setting, also interesting fiction.
“Whispering shadows” oooh, wow, a move that is fueled by XPs! I’m not sure if I like this kind of mechanic. However, it’s a nice move, while I think the player could at least choose the target NPCs. Maybe the GM should just choose the reactions.
Thanks for the comments Andrea, I’m going to take a look at them and make some changes today or tomorrow. Awesome feedback!
Micheal, +myname when you have something new.
