I assume the church sampling size for both the author and its intended recipients is extraordinarily low since it doesn’t appear to be aimed at people who actually go to church. Many many churches do, in fact, have wifi.
It’s also not even true. Plenty of churches have free wifi.
In all fairness, “free wifi” wasn’t such a THING the last time I went inside a church, and I’m hardly alone on that.
We should probably keep the real world mythologies out of this group.
