In a world full of adventures, it is vital to know where, who, and how to get the information you need. Pulling favors from contacts, greasing palms, securing information, and gambling are all parts of your repertoire of skills but it doesn’t stop there. All that time spent in the underbelly of cities dealing with all the scum and villainy has thought you that in order to survive the urban jungle, you must learn how to read people quickly and turn any dire situation in your favor.

Feinting and applying cheap tricks are also your specialty; sometimes charms and looks wont save your hide from a sticky situation but a well placed dagger might.

How would you implement a vulnerable tag in #DungeonWorld such as vulnerable to magic or vulnerable to fire?

How would you implement a vulnerable tag in #DungeonWorld such as vulnerable to magic or vulnerable to fire?

How would you implement a vulnerable tag in #DungeonWorld such as vulnerable to magic or vulnerable to fire?

Two follow up questions:

1) Is the vulnerable tag discussed in the main rules? I did a search and didn’t find it, but I’ve had people show me that I’ve missed stuff in the past.

2) Is thee a comprehensive list of tags both in the world and created by the community somewhere?

Today, I was wondering how a GM would run a tense chase using #DungeonWorld?

I know that it would flow from the fiction, but I was wondering how people would use moves to break up and focus the action?

Thanks!

Are there any NPC Codexes out there for #DungeonWorld ?

Are there any NPC Codexes out there for #DungeonWorld ?

I’m thinking of something similar to the Folk of the Realm chapter from the main rulebook. Monsters are cool (and I’d love for there to be an illustrated guide to the monsters that are in the main rulebook), but I also like NPCs to interact with and against.

Some I’d like to see:

Necromancer

Scout

Beggar

Butcher

Pirate

Gladiator

Cultist

Smuggler

Historian

Storyteller

Duelist

Sorcerer

Wizard

Longshoreman

Pawnbroker

Tracker

Alchemist

Shaman

Fishmonger

Librarian

Acolyte

Bartender

Mercenary

Warlord

Leveled versions of the core Dungeon World classes

Aristocrat

Hunter

Atheist

Heretic

Caravan Guard

Witch

Sailor

Pilgrim

Cardsharper

Artist

Sculptor

Document Forger

Art Forger

Body guard

Apothecary

Herbalist

Archer

Mayor

Bureaucrat

Animal Trainer

Circus Performer

Acrobat

Blacksmith

Poisoner

Thoughts?

Any that you would add? Remove?

I realize these can be made relatively easy on the fly, but it seems like a well thought out codex with some good indexes that group them be places they might be encountered and lists of possible names would be a really handy jumping off point.

After reading the #DungeonWorld ghouls “gain the memories of their meal,” it made me want to have an adventure around a necromancer that uses hoards of ghouls to ransack towns and then uses rituals to extract the “harvested” knowledge from his satiated ghoul hoard to add to his library.
