Skyhawk

Skyhawk

Skyhawk

Stealthy, planar, solitary, small

Close, d10 damage, piercing 1, 10 HP

Special qualities: Cloak, flight

Instinct: to slay on behalf of its djinn masters.

Moves: – Fly unseen. – Swoop and strike the unwary. – Harry the prey mercilessly.

“I first took it for an especially large bird of prey, but the bright blue bands upon its wings made me think it was not of this world. As I watched, it seemed to vanish into the sky, nothing more than a faint outline where it was anymore. I have heard of these hawks originating from the elemental plain of Air, where they are kelp as pets by the djinn and used as a noble would use a falcon. Though djinn and their skyhawks have no interest in hunting rabbits; they hunt men who offend them. The skyhawk has an uncanny camouflage ability, making them difficult to spot until they are about to sink their talons into your head. Against the background of the sky, they are all but invisible. “

The feathers of a skyhawk are imbued with a fraction of elemental Air power, and their coloring makes them valuable to a fletcher. An arrow or crossbow bolt made with skyhawk arrows is never deflected by high winds. Furthermore, when such an arrow is fired under the open sky and the dice come up doubles, a devastating stroke of lightning strikes whatever the arrow hits. Some say that this is the act of a vengeful djinn getting revenge upon the one who slew his pet.

Krix Fouldoom is a particularly vicious pit-fiend, though he would likely prefer the term “badass mofo”. He can be found in deep pits and dungeons, usually looking to trade with some slavers, or to find a band of “nerdy” adventurers to pick on.

In combat, Krix uses his mighty flaming broadsword, which he aptly named “awesome flaming sword of fire”. He’s a fierce warrior and will never give up… he can’t afford to be seen losing to a bunch of sad geeks!

When not tormenting adventurers on the material plane, he can usually be found on one of the Nine Hell’s beaches; showing off his “sweet ink” and trying to mingle with the stars of Hellfire Shore.

So, the latest first session ended with the dwarven slayer imprisoned in a demiplane of nothingness with Balaur, a mighty dragon. Here’s him and his three brothers:

Balaur, the green dragon, lord of earth, forests, rivers, poisons and diseases; it’s the most deadly one. Three heads, amphibious, burrowing but flightless, similar to a giant crocodile, full of horns and fins, covered in vegetation, moss, mushrooms and parasitical beings.

Vishap, the blue dragon, lord of seas, lakes, skies, winds, storms and lightnings; it’s the most destructive one. Body of a very long snake, third eye in the forehead, six rapacious legs, four feathered wings and a horned, fanged beak.

Kulshedra, the red dragon, lord of mountains, caves, fires, volcanos, and smoke; it’s the most evil one. Classic dragon body, bat wings, lion mane, beard and other hairy stuff around, fangs and horns everywhere, two giant snake heads coming off his tail.

Dragons fought against the dwarves in the war of ages; the latter eventually killed all of the dragon mothers. The dragon warriors’ vengeance was terrible, but the war ended with no winners, the dwarves decimated, the dragons totally without females. But while the dwarves grew strong again in time, the dragons faded one by one, killed by heroes, by other dragons, or just falling in eternal slumber. Only these three are known to be alive and active by the wisest ones.

For tonight session I had to come up with something from the scratch.

For tonight session I had to come up with something from the scratch.

For tonight session I had to come up with something from the scratch. We are in this weird world full of giant moles, insects and so on.

This is what I created in the split seconds of a bathroom pause:

Living Stomach

Solitary, Huge, Stealty

stone “villus” (d10+3 damage)

 27HP, 2 armor

reach, messy

Special quality: rocky biology

A strange creature that adhere to the walls of a cave. It’s basically a huge living stomach, with two sphinteres.

After having become the walls of the new biological cave it opens its two opposing sphinteres (anus and mouth) and waits for a pray to just walk in and close them.

It then extract stone villus, similar to rounded stalactites and proceed first to crush them with peristaltic movements, then to digest them.

Instinct: To entrap living things

• Crush its victims

• Feing to be a cavern

• Digest its lunch

When inside one of those the Wizard choose to attract attention with a 7-9 spell.

I come up with those:

Whiteish Globules

horde

acidic goo (b[d6], 1 piercing )

6HP 1 armor

messy

Special quality: amorphous, cluster of creeping ooze

Symbionts of the Living Stomachs, they are flagellates amoebas living inside some Stomach. When their host is damaged they erupt from ulcers and they use their fluid to repair damage and neutralize the alien body.

Istinto: To repair damage to the Stomach

• Swarm an alien body

• Seal wounds with goo

Just something I thought up while playing the victim to insomnia and staring at the wood grain of a door.
