Hi!
Hi! I’m making a GM’s screen for fun and thought I’d show this work in progress. I’m really into the idea of little icons for each of the DM moves, even if I’m not 100% happy with this current selection. (They’re mostly from www.autodraw.com right now.)
I’ve only run a single oneshot of dungeon world so I’m not sure what would be most useful to include on a shield. Tips and suggestions are welcome!

On all of Marshal Miller’s Dungeon Starters, it says “Fill out your worksheets”.

Hey guys looking for help for a new GM.
Hey guys looking for help for a new GM. On about my 5th session for my first campaign, can feel myself getting better a little at a time but my group has three tanks in it (Fighter, Barbarian and Paladin) i’m struggling to challenge them in combat. I know I should be trying to make it difficult for them fictionally but I’m having a hard time. Been able to challenge them in other way “traps / roleplaying challenges” but can anyone help me with making the combat more of a challenge?

A game you wish you were playing right now.
Rogue Trader. Damn I love that game.
When You Prep an Adventure Site, What Do YOU Prep?
When You Prep an Adventure Site, What Do YOU Prep?
Deep Six Delver’s thread about on-the-fly dungeons got me thinking about what my ideal level of prep is for a “dungeon” (i.e. a site-based location). I’m curious what other folks find most useful and most comfortable.
Let’s assume it’s NOT the first session. You’ve gotten to know your players and their characters. Your world has gotten some flesh on its bones. The characters want things, and they have announced that they want to go to Dungeon XYZ, because Reasons. You’ve got time to prep between sessions.
What do YOU want to have in front of you (or least clearly in mind) when you sit down to play? What makes YOU uncomfortable if you start play without it?
BTW, I don’t give two owlbear pellets about what the game text says you should have or do. I want to know what YOU WANT TO HAVE as prep. If that’s Fronts and monster stats and custom moves, cool! If that’s a couple mental notes, sweet. No judgement. No _should_s. What is YOUR preferred prep like?

Something else that arose during last night’s session: for the first time the Druid 6-minus’ed a Shapeshift roll, and I realised the Move text specifies “hold 1 in addition to whatever the GM says”. Does that mean even a failed Shapeshift will always lead to a shape change? Otherwise I don’t see what the hold 1 is for.
So I handled this by having the Druid shift into one of her other forms — one much less likely to be immediately useful to the situation. I am just wondering if as a GM I have to deal with a Shapeshift miss in this way every time, or if I am free to be more imaginative, and then just ignore the hold 1 if I come up with something to which it’s not applicable?
Later on this week, I will be interview Ray Otus, author of the Plunderground zine.
