I am currently working on a base Class for playing a Familiar (which i will post here, once i got to a final version)

In my Version i am going to let the Player choose between pixi, imp, raven and Pseudodragon as a race and give him a 2 point Connection with his “Master” (which doesnt have to be a wizard or spellcaster)

So my Question would be:

What kind of Abilitys do you connect to a familiar besides the traditional “be the little thing the Wizard carries along”?

I have some Ideas on my own but i am curious what you guys have in mind.

It doesnt have to be finished moves, just ideas and “fluff” i build the Class myself later. I just need some inspirations for moves and a good “baseline” so the Character will be playable by normal Players.

(‘compiling’ rather than writing, as obviously most of the moves are taken from other sources: Dungeon World, the Mage class, the BC Magus class, and Monster of the Week. This is for my own use.)

Following the witch doctor, I am now working on a Hunter class for Dungeon World. The class somewhat overlaps with the ranger in some aspects but it mainly focuses on hunting a creature in particular, tracking, setting traps and ambushes, and good with bow/crossbow. The base class is finished and ready to receive feedback. Gear and compendium classes will come later on and so far i’ve got ideas for a beast hunter, bounty hunter, vampire hunter, and witch hunter.

What in the world is up with stun damage?

What in the world is up with stun damage?

What in the world is up with stun damage? I understand the general idea – it’s non lethal damage, you deal it with things like fists, nets, or whips. But how does it work?

Let’s say I’m using a net to try to tangle up an opponent. It’s a reach weapon, and doesn’t have precise, so I’d assume it’s a Hack and Slash roll.

That mostly makes sense, but assuming I hit, what happens then? Are they just tangled up there and then, no more questions asked? Does it deal stun damage – and if so, if I later hit them with a normal weapon, does the stun damage count agaisnt their HP? Do I need to do their entire HP in stun damage to entangle them?
