I am still not sure if i completely effed up the last session and i don’t want to post a whole AP to discuss it.

Wow Undertake a Perilous Journey can really make your players have a whole different adventure if you let it.

Wow Undertake a Perilous Journey can really make your players have a whole different adventure if you let it. Tonight my players fought Gargoyles and found a Dragon underneath a pit that was a tourist attraction and they decided to go on a quest to create an artificial sun so it could wake up fully and they could get its treasure. This was totally not my plan!

I have updated the Story of Ajax with our 5th session notes. Just in time to run our 6th session in a few hours. At this time it is what I could remember from a week ago, but the gist of the session in which Ajax failed an unbelievable 13 rolls, and ended up meeting Death is all there. Enjoy.

We finished our Dungeon World campaign yesterday.

We finished our Dungeon World campaign yesterday. I learned a lot about how Dungeon World works from it, especially how to handle campaigns, as well as a few gripes I’m beginning to have with the system.

I will miss the crazy bonkers actions of my players. Their nigh game breaking strategies were hilarious and their exploits legendary.

I bought the classic Ravenloft DnD module the other day and dropped it into my normally zero-prep campaign. The first hour or so was just normal improv heavy DW with the normal laughing and enthusiastic player participation. Then they entered the castle and I opened the pdf on my laptop. The players were suddenly much less involved, their eyes sort of glazed over.

Was it me or the idea that we were playing from a book? Or maybe coincidence?

Any ideas? Should I stop looking at a map or should I continue? There is at least one more session, maybe even two left in count’s castle.

So, how does one live down EIGHT failed rolls in one night?

In less than 2 hours I managed to set an inn on fire, get my face scarred by a werewolf, set myself on fire, alert an angry mob, crack my wand, wake a giant zombie from the dead, blow myself up twice (ragdolling into the wall and ceiling respectively), and get knocked over by recoil trying to heal myself at the end of it all.

…I’d be a lot warmer and a lot happier with a belly full of mead.
