Hey Tavern
Hey Tavern,
Could someone point me in the direction of a fear/terror move?

In honor of Goodman Games’ awesome DCC FreeRPG Day submission for 2018, I am working on a DCC to DW conversion of Man-Bait for the Soul Stealer. Between this and the conversion of Portal Under the Stars that Mark Tygart and I worked on — you would have TWO DW adventures (along with all the cool DCC info) should you pick up the module at your FLGS. (Wow, that’s a lot of acronyms even for a nerd post.)
It’s all free.
So, would anyone be willing to look over my conversion for typos? If you happen to have the module, that would be great, but it is not necessary.

A few years back there was a thread, I want to say it was here maybe, where either Adam Koebel or Johnstone Metzger talked about “radioactive space wizards” in a game that broke fantasy/sci-fi genre conventions (as DW/Planet are wont to do). My Google-fu is failing me though.
Wow, one hell of a weekend coming up for the Brewery.

Then, be sure to join us this Sunday morning @8pm PDT for the kick off (FINALLY) of The One Ring.
Looking forward to all the gaming this weekend!
I’ve officially pulled the trigger in #Stonetop: no more +1/-1 forward/ongoing.
I’ve officially pulled the trigger in #Stonetop: no more +1/-1 forward/ongoing. Instead, advantage and disadvantage!
Here’s a look at what the basic, special, etc. moves look like for Stonetop now, including ‘vantage.
Other things of note if you if you haven’t seen these before:
1) Split Aid and Interfere into two different moves
2) Aid-before-the-roll is just advantage (with exposure). Aid-after-the-roll is a retroactive +1 but the GM tells you the cost
3) Parley is completely rewritten from core DW. It’s as much an info-gathering move as it is a “convince them” move. Parley now also works against PCs.
4) Travel is kind of a big deal in Stonetop, so Undertake a Perilous Journey is replaced with a set of moves that help plot out the journey as an adventure in itself.
Let me know if you have questions or input!

Module Mashing
I’ve long thought that published modules are not only modular in the sense that you can easily drop them into your own game with just a little work, but also in the sense that every encounter IN them can be easily be dropped into your own game (again, with only a little work to make them mesh together).
This is something I put together as a way to reuse some cool bits from the modules I really love. It was a REALLY fun exercise and I think I’ll start to dig into some of my lesser-used modules to mash them together into new adventures as well!
