So this was my first true session of a campaign of Dungeon World (really my first session of an RPG, since all the other games I have run have been really crappy one-shots (crappiness was my fault)), so I would appreciate any feedback. I’m pretty sure I messed up in a number of different places, so don’t kill me in the comments. I’m just writing this for and for you guys to get better in your critiquing skills I guess. I think the PC’s did a great job ojn creating the world and the map.

*And by the way, this play doesn’t have rolls, I forgot to tell the person who was keeping notes to record what the rolls were and their outcomes.

One question I have had for a while:

How do I manage the move “Undertake a Perilous Journey”

Do I describe it day by day, or as a whole. The move for this says roll once for the entire journey, so does that mean for every encounter, if the scout rolled a 10+, I let them get the drop on every single monster they encounter? Please help.

I also have trouble with coming up with ideas, especially on the fly. I have to have something written out word for word for the session to actually be fun. Any help?

I pretty much understand the basic concepts and rules, but I have a hard time with the fiction. For example, I can describe the extreme basics of what happens in the fight, but I’m not that great at impromptu. Also, I find trouble describing what happens in town and running the actual plot with NPC’s and such. I can barely describe the world around the PC’s! Any tips on how to put more narrative into my game?
