So this was my first true session of a campaign of Dungeon World (really my first session of an RPG, since all the other games I have run have been really crappy one-shots (crappiness was my fault)), so I would appreciate any feedback. I’m pretty sure I messed up in a number of different places, so don’t kill me in the comments. I’m just writing this for and for you guys to get better in your critiquing skills I guess. I think the PC’s did a great job ojn creating the world and the map.

*And by the way, this play doesn’t have rolls, I forgot to tell the person who was keeping notes to record what the rolls were and their outcomes.

  1. These are good notes. I’ll tell you, I started taking notes even longer than this (and sometimes wrote the play report as prose) but now I just do 1-2 paragraphs. It’s exhausting to write so much, and you really don’t need it. A summary of what happened, and then shorthand notes like:

Marie Florian. Human Bard. An androgynous 32-year old man; formerly part of a family troupe that was murdered by the Kurgan Brothers, who were after the family heirlooms.

And then a questions section (but more post session) about what might be going on, like:

What really happened to Marie’s family? What made their belongings powerful? Who was the mole that got executed?

Of course if it helps you have this much written down, more power to you!
