When a character spend a use of an adventuring gear, do you have them write the produced item on their character sheet (if the item isn’t “used up”)?

For example, if they produce a lantern, a rope, a hammer, other permanent item, they fictionnaly should still have it later, right?

  1. If they have it, sure, they have it later on too, (be true to the fiction), but I’d avoid spotlighting this issue to a players detriment. The whole point of the use system is to avoid the inventory management minigame.

  2. Yeah, I’d have them check off a use of adventuring gear and write “rope” in their item list. Yes, the goal is minimizing inventory management, but I feel like keeping track still matters. Otherwise, why wouldn’t adventuring gear be unlimited rather than a specific number of uses? Scarcity can be interesting as long as it’s not cumbersome. Just the way I like to run things.
