Hi Jason Lutes! In the Italian DW community we have an user asking for details / examples about the Scout Ahead “advantages”:
-Getting the Drop.
-Signs about the Danger.
From a first read, getting the drop on the enemy seems more powerful ad useful than getting signs about the Danger.
Thanks in advance for your insight.

Getting the drop on a demon might not be nearly as good as seeing signs and avoiding it or arriving with a weapon capable of hurting it…
Hi Andrea Parducci, apologies for the late reply.
Tony Demetriou’s example is a good one. “Getting the drop” usually means the PCs get to act first against whatever they encounter next, while discovering signs about a local Danger might allow them to prepare for a particular challenge or alter course — they might find tracks that lead to a den, shift to a more cautious stance, or avoid an area altogether. I agree that the distinction is not as clear as it could be, and the first option will generally see more use in play.
