I have a question about the Dungeon World Codex, the site where you can create and share monsters.

Is that site covered under Creative Commons, and if so, which version?

I am working on a small adventure for publication and I pulled two stats blocks from the site. One I re-skinned from a Fire form to an Ice form, and one I would want to use as is.

Am i allowed to do that, and do I just need to credit the Codex if I do? Or do I need to go back and make these monsters from scratch?

  1. From what I can see if you click on a monster’s name you get the little CC image but I don’t know what that one means and it doesn’t link back to the CC site like I thought it might.

I’m curious about this as well.

  2. Check your monster. The site lets you choose your level of Creative Commons protection when you post. The default is basic Creative Commons.
