Of course, at the table we’ll use a word for 2- that fits the rhyming scheme. 😉
A 7+ is commonly called a “hit” in PbtA games. This different use of that nomenclature could be confusing.
Not a fan of the specialized symbols due to compatibility.
Definitely NOT aiming at compatibility with this… simply working on a play aid for my home-brew games of Freebooters on the Frontier.
I like it. And “split” is a great term for the 7-9 result. Most people just seem to call it a “7-9 result”, which hardly rolls of the tongue.
I’ve heard it called a ‘soft hit’ at tables, which I thought was kinda fitting, but yeah, split is nice, it denotes the good and the bad from the result.
My FotF players call it a “compromise result”. Split really took off after I suggested it.
