5. John Aegard’s Dragonslaying on a Timetable (linked in Nathan’s link above) is great, though it’s a guide to totally improving a one-shot rather than a one-shot scenario.

   Also worth checking out in the link above: Mark Tygart’s enormous library of dungeon starters. 

   Honestly, just browse through all the stuff in Nathan’s link.  That’s got almost everything I’d think of.

6. Yeah, I second John Aegard’s guide, its all I use these days, whether for new groups or a one-shot. Brilliant stuff.
