In tonight’s hangout, I’m going to try and use the Phase Trio from FATE Core to make custom bonds. It’ll work the same way as making aspects, but it’s just for inventing bonds instead.

I’ll write a post about how well it went. It seems like a pretty good idea right now.

  1. Well the bonds are some good examples in the core book but if anyone makes some good ones that can be used for other DW games, feel free to share them with the DW Tavern.

  2. Actually, I’m getting a bit tired of those on the sheets… After the amount of games I’ve played, they just seem so static. 🙁

I’ve considered making five alternate bonds for each playbook, per other playbook, just so that people have some different options.

For example, a Thief will have bonds tailored to Fighters:

__________ needs my skill when their brawn can’t solve all their problems.

I can always rely on __________ to get me out of trouble.

The day ___________ and I met, he swore he’d cut of my hands if I ever touched his weapon.

Each class would have tailored bonds to each other class, as fits those classes.
