Sorry if I missed an obvious resource somewhere – can anyone point me in the best direction for PbP DW games? I’m dying to play but my schedule isn’t great for a Hangout game and cobbling together my IRL friends’ schedules for a face to face game is proving annoying as well.

There are lots of sites out there, and I’m sure they’re all really great. Lots of people will list different ones, but I’ll go ahead and tell you about GotEXP (http://www.gotexp.com), since it’s primarily the one I play and run games on. We’ve got a small community of DW players (most who are from the Tavern), and it’s 100% free to register.
When my friend started the site almost 10 years ago, we had a lot of World of Darkness games going on; but lately, it’s been PBtA games – especially DW. The site’s not perfect, some games are much slower than other games; but right now, there are two vanilla DW games, a Dungeon Planet game, a Grim World game, a Numbers Appearing game (DW but with monster races), and some of us are getting ready to playtest AWDA – most likely when the next draft comes out. Let me know if you any other questions, I’m mishappening on there, as well as one of the admins. 🙂

RPGgeek.com has some great play by forum features, and there are always a number of Dungeon World games running and others looking for players. If you wanted to run a game you should have no trouble finding players very quickly.
