I might use this to mitigate the effects of traumatic damage, i.e. losing an arm to the effects of the Messy tag.
Spending hp for protection looks really sweet. I like the idea of little hp pools for armor too. In a combat/tactics heavy game I’d consider chits for each.
I like the idea of “lifetime” HP, a lot really. I only wonder how that would affect healing mechanics.
Armour pools are a great way to have “destructible” armour! Once it’s out of HP (AP?) It becomes next to useless.
