I’m not sure what you mean precisely by “explanatory”, but DW1 Lair of the Unknown by Johnstone Metzger is among the best I’ve seen. The reason is that he explains a bit about how to use the fronts, although one front is something he calls a Dungeon Front, which stays in the background until activated through play (all explained in the book, and it feels much like a future Adventure Front that’s not in play yet).
Cool. I have that, but haven’t yet read it. But really, I was just pointing people over to the guy who was asking the question in case you want to help him out there. (And I get not everyone is a stackexchange user.)
