How do you guys handle speed? More importantly, is it really necessary to quantify something’s speed?

Here’s some tags I worked up just now:

• Glacial (Iceberg)

• Slow (Tortoise)

• Normal (Human)

• Fast (Horse)

• Instantaneous (Lightning)

  1. Yeah Burk, I handle speed, like anything else in the game. If it is fictionally significant then Tag it, just as you have done. Tags are purposefully open ended and broad, sorta like Traits in BW or Aspects in FATE.

  2. I totally agree with Nathan Roberts; speed only matters when it matters. That being said, I can see a use for the Glacial, Slow, Fast, and Instantaneous tags. Including it in the monster’s write up helps inform the GM about what it can do.
