Alright, it’s official! DW Race bundle is up for sale!
The bundle is here:

If for some reason you want each one individually (which really only gives the people involved larger tips), here they are:
(Full disclosure, those links are involved in the DriveThru affiliate program, which basically means that by following them you’re attributing the linkthrough to an affiliate – in this case Brandon Schmelz, my publisher. If that’s not your style, simply go to drivethru and search for “Dungeon World Oldschool Bundle”. )
They’re all Creative Commons licensed, as is the artwork used for the covers (thanks to the Prismatic Art Collection [ http://www.prismaticart.com ] and artist Kaitlynn Peavler). Additional thanks go to Alex Norris for layout and editing.
They will also be posted separate for free shortly, assuming google docs wants to cooperate. So, no worries there.

As ever, the benefit of drivethru is having it in your cloud available for download at any time, and supporting people who are writing things you may like, but mostly I’ll be happy when I see people using these in their games.
These rock! Sorry for mutliple comments if they go through, my browser won’t let me comment. Definite purchase on payday, saw thee getting made on SA and they seem really well designed.

Also, have you thought about making compendium classes or backgrounds? Stuff like a Dwarven Fighter or Halfling Alchemist could be really cool.

I have, actually. The Elf for instance will probably have a Dark Elf down the line…
Sweeeeeeeeeet! The time of collecting is at hand!
wow this is exactly what my Dungeon World game needed … I appreciate this greatly
Currently occupying the 4th, 5th and 6th spots on the hottest small press products at http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/, and the sixth through eighth for sales per day at http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/top_100.php and it’s all because you folks are fantastic.
Admittedly I grabbed the freebies up front but will make the purchase anyway as soon as I can. These playbooks got me thinking that you could use them in conjunction with a Compendium Class representing the current main classes (Fighter, Wizard, Cleric, etc.) so that your race gets the main focus and then your profession.
I guess essentially you’d boil down all the advanced moves of classes into a smaller, combined number of CC moves. To me, it’s a nice spin on things. How would this work in practice, though, with spells and whatnot? Are you planning to do something like this anyway?
These are designed to work in tandem with the classes as presented in Dungeon World, and I am not currently planning to diverge much from that. But its CC for a reason! I am perfectly fine with people taking the jigsaw apart and rearranging it to fit new styles. You could say this hews close to the core precisely so that more people can tweak them.
I am planning a series of Compendium Classes, but I’d love to see others!
I was predisposed to dislike them. I donno, I don’t like the one big thing about a character being what they are as opposed to what they do.
And then I read them and they were awesome! And actually shift a lot of the moves in a direction I really like.
Yeah, I think they beg to shift the base classes to CCs because otherwise there are an overwhelming number of race, class and advanced moves straight out of the gate. I must think on this.
