Hello all, I’ve been a member of the community for a while and have been lurking because I haven’t played DW yet. I will be playing soon and I was wondering if there was a class out there that dual wields daggers and can use them either in melee or thrown. It would be really nice if that class also did some sort of acrobatic stuff. i.e.tumble and get a + for defy danger or a + if tumbling before a weapon attack. Thanks

The Thief class has the option of dual-wielding a Short Sword and Dagger and then can pick throwing knives as a ranged weapon. This gives them hand, close, and near range which is highly valuable. In DW there is no inherent value to dual-wielding the same weapon.
Further, simply having a high DEX (which any good Thief will) will be an adequate representation of acrobatic awesomeness.
All classes can wield two daggers. Tumbling is one way any class can defy danger when acting to change the in-game situation.
Understand it’s weird the first time to realize, “wait, that’s not class based?”
Best Example:
Everyone can sneak. You defy danger (Dex) trying to be stealthy.
There is a ranger move “Viper’s Strike” that gives you a benefit to attacking with two weapons at once. Maybe Pete’s thief build and multiclass into Viper’s Strike?
Scott McQuade: there isn’t, because that kind of stuff is mechanics-first rather than fiction-first. As mentioned, tumbling, sneaking and dual-wielding are things everyone can do. Getting a bonus to DD for dodging out of the way is something you write into a single move, not something you base a class off.
I did write a Thief variant which I posted Monday that ditches the poison for some more stealth/acrobatics moves, though: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B30fzv28XdrYNjRwTXN6TzhWZ1E/edit?usp=sharing
It even has MC moves so you can take Viper’s Strike/Fang from the Ranger.
Hey Alex, I love your city thief! Got any other variants you’ve made?
Nothing I’d consider release-worthy, sorry!
