  1. Indeed. Draw Maps, leave blanks, let the characters explore and wander and make fronts occur in some regions (or even random fronts like old wondering monster tables..)

  2. I’ve experimented with this. Making a good randomized front is good, but the big difference is in preparation. Fill in the spaces with moves during play. Also fun is having weather moves: if someone foretells the weather they get to state what it is and so on.

  3. And a spell I think. My version of the general move involves the DM introducing shifts in weather by means of choices. I don’t have it handy right now to post.
