Has anyone tried running DW as a one-on-one game?  Curious as to how well suited it is with a gm and a single player.

  1. My daughter wants a one-on-one game, so I’m going to give that a try. I’ll definitely keep track of any tweaks that help it go smoother, and I’ll probably write up a few AP reports for it.

  2. I think like all RPG” sit will work, but you are missing the interactions and banter between players. As a one game, to keep her busy as well as use the BOnds …. give them two chraacters.

  3. I’m thinking about running two players with two characters each.

In AW, if you have a second character, your characters may not aid each other.  I’m considering using that, but then again, DW is different than AW, and I might let them do it, as long as they’re all in a cohesive party, why not, right?

  4. Richard Robertson Play to the character’s personal style. If you have a wizard that is selfish, then don’t aid … if you have one that likes to help …. then go ahead. It will add more to the group dynamics if you play every character as its own individual.

  5. You can still establish bonds with NPCs, locations or treausure.

I would avice against running multiple PCs for one player, at least when they are new to the system.
