I didn’t write the name generator, I just plugged in an existing Abulafia fantasy name generator. I was impressed at the cool names that came out of it — it wasn’t just the usual anglo / nordic Jon Oakenhammer stuff.
It’s not so much the names (which are cool) as the descriptions. “Spider torturer, pregnant and tusked”? Slug/Ghost? That’s awesome stuff!
I ended up rolling a lot of Lightning Brains, which are always fun.
I mentioned the names because I was all “fuck, I’ve gotta make a name generator for this” and then I was “yay, there’s a cool one already that I can just drop in…”
The job thing needs some polish, I have a gigantic item table written that I will drop in there for the jobs that need items.
Yeah, there’s a massive job table for Dis promised in the booklet and I’ve been putting off work on it since nobody’s really taken on the mini-ARG I created for unlocking it. But I’ll come back to that eventually. My plan is for a bunch of jobs to get posted, and for people to submit AP about how they completed those jobs, which in turn unlocks new jobs.
