Do you guys ever reach the point were you start hoping that not all rolls are misses?

If a monster is Skilled At Offense, and Abhors Violence, do they then cancel each other out?

If a monster is Skilled At Offense, and Abhors Violence, do they then cancel each other out? Or do you roll b[2d8] twice and take the worst result? I know it’s a weird question. 🙂

We’ll be playing the second half of our little adventure today. The elven Fighter, Falafael (played by Eric Nieudan) and the elven Druid Sinathel (played by Bastien Wauthoz) has discovered the culprits behind the murder of the burgermeister’s daughter!

Currently they are headed back to town to hire some extra hands, since they fear they might not be able to take on an entire cult themselves! Who will join them?

We figured it’d be fun to have some extra players join us at this moment, it would give the players some much needed help!

If you are game, post your preferred class here and create a roll20.net account, if you haven’t got one yet.

PS: You’ll have to be fluent in english 😉

In 8,000 letters or less; how does the Multiclass Dabler advanced move for the Fighter really work?

If I take the “Prodigy” advancement for Wizard, then what does “one level lower” mean in this context?

– Does it mean that a level 5 spell becomes a level 4 spell, even though no such spells exist?

How would you guys portray a character that for some reason has attained superhuman strength in DW?

How would you guys portray a character that for some reason has attained superhuman strength in DW? I’ve been thinking about it for a while, and I have no idea how to handle it as a GM.

To me, the problem is that Strength is a statistic in DW. Modifying statistics outside the normal advancement system is something I’m a little concerned about doing.

I don’t want it to be “+X ongoing when using brute strength” or “+X damage”, because that’s just really boring in my book. Let me see your custom moves! 🙂

It doesn’t have to be an all-compassing move. It might be several.

Just a thought; isn’t the point of “grim portents” to give you a ready list of GM Moves to use on a miss?

How do you guys start out campaigns? Just want to see how it differs from my heavily improvising approach.
