If a monster is Skilled At Offense, and Abhors Violence, do they then cancel each other out?

If a monster is Skilled At Offense, and Abhors Violence, do they then cancel each other out? Or do you roll b[2d8] twice and take the worst result? I know it’s a weird question. 🙂

  1. Is this a monster that is quite intelligent?  Like a pacifist kung-fu monk who is super deadly?  I would ignore the Abhors Violence statwise.  Just play it out.  They avoid combat at all cost.  But when they commit, they are very deadly.

  2. w[b[2d8]] means just roll 1d8 in my opinion!  Same for b[w[2d8]].  I like the idea of a monster that’s offensively skilled but that abhors violence, sounds fun.

  3. I think Jason Painter has the right of this. This very much conjures an image of an opponent who exhausts all other avenues, then ends the conflict as quickly and humanely as possible.
