Did someone try to play Curse of Strahd with Dungeon World rules? Which fronts would you choose? I guess it would be better to let the players find diferent ways to exit Barovia apart from the regular one(that is to kill strahd). What do you think? I would like to ver your experiencies.

Wondering how well Pelgrane Press’s Eyes of the Stone Thief would work as a DW campaign.

Wondering how well Pelgrane Press’s Eyes of the Stone Thief would work as a DW campaign. Plenty of room for gonzo (under)world creation, given the context. And I’d rather do a megadungeon with the ability to change scope and ignore Initiative.

There’s so much material my first concern would be level capping before “finishing”. Anyone thought about this?

First Apes, now sharks on the brain. Actually it was a map posted on the internet that inspired this starter, it made me think of Fritz Leiber’s wonderful story “The Sunken Land” and J.E. Holmes charming fan novel “Maze of Peril”. When I’m trapped in a difficult eldercare struggle, this is what keeps me sane…

Breaking with the traditional form a little bit here, and I’m sure there’s a bunch of typos and whatnot. So: feedback greatly appreciated!

When you first start a game of Stonetop, you’ll make characters and do introductions, establishing details about the village and the NPCs who live there. But then you’ll make the Seasons Change move to let spring break forth.

The result of that move should end up with a valuable insight or interesting news (on a 10+), threats abounding (on a 6-), or a boon plus a threat (on a 7-9). I’m intending to include “adventure starters” for each result.

This is the 10+ result for “valuable insight into a threat that’s been plague the steading.”
