Armature struggling GM here, I just wanted to ask for help on writing love letters for my players. Not actual love letters but the mechanic some people use to reward or punish players through a short story or tough choice about their characters to get the game rolling, especially after a long period between games. If you know what I’m talking about, any help would bee great, thank you.

Hello.

Hello.

Hello. So I am running a game where my players were sent out to investigate orc migrations out of some mountains where they stumbled upon a stronghold of sorts full of orcs. After defeating some guards and camping at a sort of stale mate, our bard ( named Alexander Jamilton, you may now cringe ) charmed himself and the rest of the party inside the walls, where they found the orcs to be more civilized than recently conceived. Shortly after we ended the session. My question is does anyone have any suggestions on how the “orc government” would react to all of this. I was thinking maybe imprisonment but not all of the party was involved in the killing. Then I thought maybe where could be a trial of sorts but I don’t want to isolate the few from the rest of the party because the roots for PC on PC conflict are already starting to show. I was just wondering what other input I could get because I’ve seen some very helpful comments on other posts and I know this is the place to go. Thanks so much.

When you can tell that having your players use dice apps on their phones is actually more troublesome, so you go out and buy 2d6 and a damage die for all 6 players, that are color coded so they don’t mix them up with others.

So a player asked if they could kill another player in the party. I for one am against the idea because his character has no real motivation to do this act, but I could see things escalating to a point where other players might want to kill him. I was just curious if there were specific game mechanics in place for PVP, or do I treat it like a two way fight with attack from one side then attack or avoid danger and repeat? Or are there ways you guys handle this in your own games? I’d love to know.

I just started a Dungeon World group in my dorm that I am very excited about but I am afraid some members are not taking the roleplaying seriously. I have no problem with jokes and references but some of the things being introduced are absurd. I know other members are looking for more immersive play, so how should I handle these more immature players?
