Immolator Alignment Question: I’m GMing a campaign with an Immolator. He’s chosen his alignment as neutral, which reads “Exchange a sacrifice, freely given, for a service rendered.” How would he fulfill that?

Overall, how do you deal with sacrifices as an Immolator?

  1. Its the players job to decide how he deals with it, If he choose the alignment maybe he has something already in the works. I don’t see the words human sacrifice or anything similar. At least not based on the words you wrote above. A Sacrifice can be a material object as well. So dealing or handling the situation isn’t difficult, Specially if he fulfilled something for someone and they gave him something as simple as gold, not taking it or giving it up to someone or something. could be his sacrifice. So not quite sure what you mean, but it seems more then simple enough.

  2. An NPC offers them free room and board, so the Immolator would achieve his alignment goal if he “sacrifices” some coin, or he offers one of his own rations for the NPC to eat.

A sacrifice can be anything that they could use but choose to give up. It emphasizes the “freely given” aspect, so make sure that the NPC in the example above doesn’t ask for food or payment.
