I hope this is the right category for suggestions for inspiration if not please correct me thx.
Anyway I found that two books by William Morris called “A tale of the house of the Wolfings and all kindreds of the mark.”. And ” Of the roots of the mountains.” These books were published 1889 and 1890 respectively and therefore are some of the oldest fantasy ever written. If you want two great stories, as well as some great inspiration for old school pre Tolkien fantasy, these are the books for you. They also have a feel very much like stonetop and have a lot of archaic words and poetry as well as a hauberk that behaves alot like a stonetop magic item. Questions about books and thoughts if you’ve already read them are much welcome!
Damnit. I just got back from the bookstore.
