Can we do anything more interesting with the Barbarian’s Appetites? It’s basically just a + 2 in disguise, and also higher than the original DW, which is only a + 1.

  1. I think the math might be better served by making it 2d6, plus a re-roll of one of the two dice if you want, with a complication triggering on a 1 coming up on any die. I think that’s a little closer to the original.

  2. Based on my very primitive mathematical skills (and some research), the 1d6+1d8 approach is about a 31% chance of a complication, while the 3d6 approach is about a 44% chance of a complication.

Checking for any 1s on 2d6 seems like it’s a 31% chance of complication, just like the original 1d6+1d8 approach, but I’m not sure if I really dig the search for 1s. It seems like something we could look into, though.

I don’t see how that makes it “more interesting” though.
