I just finished reading Worlds of Adventure 0.2 and I really like it! Some of it was already house-made rules so I loved it! Have you considered to rip down the number of statistics? I once read an hack (sorry, don’t remember the name) where there were only 4 stats: Body, Dexterity, Intelligence and Will.
Also, I’d love to have the rules in my language (italian) and in fact I already translated the 0.2 PlayKit myself: if you are interested in it can you share me the original file to be edited? It’s a shame to use that resources but lose the page layout. When I’m done I can send you back the files and you can publish it! I would just need, for the next releases, a version with all the changes underlined or something like that to avoid translating everything all over again 🙂
Reducing the number of stats is something we’ve talked about. It would be a rather significant change to make, and would likely involve the removal or rework of most moves. Maybe it’s something we could do, but we don’t know if it’s something we should do.
You should feel free to translate the documents. I’ll contact you about any further arrangemens!
If I can cast a vote, stay with the iconic 6 stats. In the end, there’s no much difference, and it doesn’t impact the weight of the game while playing. Also, Charisma (and Wisdom) is very important to certain players and flavourful to some kind of archetypes. Finally, if the alternative could be totally different (a-la Apocalypse World, or like the Fate Approaches) I could understand the choice better; a raw cut is not enough.
