In ‘booters, if a mage were to cast a damage spell and they put power points into making the duration longer than 1 turn, how would you let that roll out?

  1. A simple damage roll when cast, and again at the start of the player’s turns should suffice, I think. If it’s an effect the the target could counteract (dousing fire), have the player make a saving throw to maintain the effect if it’s reasonable. (with a bonus if the target is especially vulnerable to the effect, or with a penalty if not, like they’ve jumped into water to put out the flames)
